The annual Singapore Lyric Opera (SLO) Youth and Children’s Chorus Concert is back! Our young choristers will once again come together with four guest choirs to present two magical performances filled with good music and choral camaraderie. On Sunday, 7 July 2024, our chorus will take you on a journey through timeless classics across two shows at 11AM and 5PM respectively. Please note that each show will showcase different performers with their own unique programmes.

Our morning show will showcase our Children’s Chorus and guest performers CHIJ (Katong) Primary Choir and Les Vista Choristes (North Vista Primary School). This performance brings together a diverse range of musical traditions, as our performers will be showing off their vocal skills with pieces such as John Rutter’s ‘For the Beauty of the Earth’ and ‘When You Believe’ from The Prince of Egypt, as well as folk songs like ‘Hotaru Koi’.

In the afternoon, we shine the spotlight on our Youth Chorus in tandem with our guests, Saints Alumni Choir and Temasek Junior College Choir. Experience inspirational classics such as ‘The Impossible Dream’ from Man of La Mancha and ‘Iddem-dem Mallida’ by Elmo Makil in a choral setting, followed by the emotional depths of pieces like the choral classic ‘Paraiso’ and Ryan Kerr’s poem ‘Jenny’ set to song.
