Zhao Yun Hong

Zhao Yun Hong is a renowned Soprano based in China. She hold several teaching positions of note, namely a Professorship at the National Conservatory, a Master of Student Guidance and is also Vice-Head at the Voice and Operatic Studies Department. She has also been elected to the Jury at various International Music Competitions, notably the 13th Tchaikovsky Voice and Instrument Competition, the 5th Vladivostok International Youth Voice Competition, the 2nd Swedish Voice/Opera Competition and the 6th St. Petersburg International Voice Competition.

In 1988, Zhao Yun Hong entered the National Conservatory of Music. In 1989 , she was sent to study at the Moscow National Conservatory under a government scholarship where she pursued voice studies under the tutelage of I.Maslenikova.

Zhao Yun Hong has sung at many metropolitan countries like Germany, France, Holland, Japan and Italy. Her mastery and depth and maturity of her voice, coupled with her magnetic charm on stage has won her accolades and praise the world over. She has been titled the “Asian Nightingale” by the Russian Music Times.

She has held many recitals and performances within China and on the international stage. She has in her career collaborated with many famed Conductors and Artists, namely Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti and V. Svetlanov.
