Tai Hsiao Chun

Tai Hsiao Chun is recognized as one of the best classical singers in Taiwan.

She is famously referred to as ‘Taiwan’s coloratura Queen of the Night’ after her many renditions of the Queen of the Night aria from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. Other operatic productions include Lucia di Lammermoor, La Traviata, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Die Entführung aus dem Serail, La Cenerentola, The Impresario, La Bohème, Così fan tutte, and Dido and Aeneas. Besides singing in operatic productions and sacred music concerts, she also performs new compositions by Taiwanese composers. A graduate of Tunghai University and Cleveland Institute of Music, she currently teaches at several varsities and choirs in Taiwan.
