Satsuki Nagatome

Satsuki was born in Tokyo, Japan. She began performing as a member of NHK Tokyo Broadcasting Children's Chorus at the age of 7. She appeared on several TV and radio programs and numerous stage performances over the next thirteen years. She had participated in 2 concert tours in Germany, Austria and Russia and performed in venues including the Tchaikovsky Hall in Russia at the age of 13.

As a classical soloist, Satsuki gave her 3rd recital “May Breezes Vol 2 – My Favorite Opera” at Esplanade Recital studio in Jun 2014, among other numerous stage performances in Singapore and Malaysia.

Satsuki made her operatic debut as Mercedes in Singapore Lyric Opera’s Carmen in 2011. She has also performed as Donna Elvira in Lyric Opera Studio Weimar’s Don Giovanni in Germany that year, Mrs Ibrahim in Opera Viva’s world premiere opera Fences in Aug 2012, Madre in Singapore Lyric Opera’s Madama Butterfly and as Donna Anna in Opera Verona’s Gala Concert - Don Giovanni” in Italy in Aug 2013.

Satsuki was invited by renowned pianist Julian Lawrence Gargiulo to perform in Chopin for Japan at Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage in the Singapore Botanic Gardens (May 2011 ).
