Phylia graduated with a diploma in graphic design, a degree in industrial design in Australia and later a Masters in Philosophy, England.
Over the past 25 years of exploration in the design industry, Phylia has won various awards for design and entreprenuership. She has successfully translated her various design experiences in musicals, operas and floats for Chingay Parade. She has handled musical production in China from the artistic direction to designs for stage & costumes. She was also involved in the design of costumes for Voyage De Le Vie (RWS), La Boheme & Die Zauberflote (Singapore Lyric Opera), and latest is an illusion show VIS!ON. She is one of the pioneers for Wearable Arts in Singapore and has since introduced it to schools and public and has formed a contingent to participate in parades for past few years. She was also involved in the stage, props on projects like Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, MagicBox, Dinosaurs Come Alive and as the prop designer for National Day Parade 2010 just to name a few.
