Khor Ai Ming

Khor was the Chorus Mistress of SLO's production of Offenbach's Les contes d'Hoffman, Puccini's La Boheme, Mozart's Die Zauberflote and Bizet's Carmen, and has worked with distinguished opera directors such as Andrew Sinclair and Paul-Emile Fourny. Along with her role as conductor of the SLO Children's Choir and Youth Choir, she has also conducted the SLO Chorus in a concert (Pedals & Pipes: Christmas Rhapsody) with Korean organist Ahreum Han and the Russell Watson LA VOCE concert.

A versatile soprano, Khor is actively involved in both contemporary and classical music scenes in Singapore. She sang the Singapore premiere of Claire Zachanassian in Gottfried von Einem's Swiss opera Der Besuch der alten Dame at the Durrenmatt Festival, Schoenberg's complete cycle of Pierrot Luniare, Messiaen's La Mort du Nombre and the Asia premiere of Juhi Bansal's The Lost Country of Sight with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music's New Music Ensemble.

Khor did a choral conducting masterclass as part of the SLO Children's Choir workshop with Stephen Cleobury of King's College, and holds a Fellowship in Voice (FTCL). Under the tutelage of internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Ning Liang, she presented sell-out solo recitals in 2008 and 2010 at the Esplanade.
