Fiona Knight graduated from Manchester University, England from where she received a string scholarship to study the violin with Peter Cropper of the Lindsay String Quartet. She followed this with a postgraduate year at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before working as a free-lance violinist in London.
As well as being an orchestral performer Fiona has studied voice at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and voice and choral conducting at Juilliard, New York. She is currently a vocal student of Nancy Yuen. Throughout her career as a musicteacher Fiona has conducted choirs and orchestras at embassies and international and local schools including performances at the Esplanade Concert Hall.
Fiona has performed arias and duets at the Esplanade Concourse andsang with the Singapore Lyric Opera Chorus in Turandot and La Boheme. As a vocalist Fiona has recorded CDs for Yamaha Music as well as working as an actor and voice artist for NHK TV and Radio in Japan. Fiona is currently Head of Junior Music at Tanglin Trust School.
