Denise Tan Sin Sim

Denise Tan Sin Sim graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Music) from University of Malaya. She is currently coach by Singaporean tenor Lim Shieh Yih. She won the 1st Festa Canzone International Art Song Vocal Competition in 2005, hosted by the Singapore Classical Singers' Association, and participated in The Mondial Chinese Vocalist Concours Taipei 2005. She sang the soprano part in Brahm's Lieberslieder and other solo pieces in the annual concert held in the Tainan University of Arts, Taipei, Taiwan.

Tan recently sang the role of The Queen of The Night in the Opera Highlights - Mozart's The Magic Flute (in English). She performed in numerous Malaysian Cultural Societies and Music Associations for both charitable and private functions. She gave a solo recital in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, and conducted a vocal workshop there. Her next recital will be held on 19 October 2007 in Ipoh, Malaysia.

Her repertoire ranges from classical numbers to Chinese oldies and folk tunes. She recorded one Chinese folk tunes for the album "Amnesty International" and three Chinese original compositions which was released in 2005. She performs regularly and teaches singing privately both in Malaysia and Singapore.
