Azura Farid has performed in numerous concerts and operas as a member of the Singapore Lyric Opera Children’s Choir, Youth Choir, and Chorus. Most notably, she sang the role of the 3rd Genii in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. She has also sung in the chorus of Madama Butterfly, Manon Lescaut, Don Giovanni and Les Contes d’Hoffmann, as well as the children’s chorus of Carmen, La Bohème and Turandot. Notable concerts include Russell Watson: La Voce, Pedals and Pipes with organist Han Ahreum, a choral masterclass with Stephen Cleobury, and the Lord of the Rings Symphony.
As a member and section leader in the Raffles Girls’ School Choir from 2007 to 2010, Azura sang in numerous performances, including the Limelight concert at the Esplanade Concert Hall in 2007. She also performed in the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging in 2007 and 2009, when RGS Choir was awarded a Gold with Honours and a Gold award, respectively.
Azura is also a member of the Vocal Associates, a group of singers under the vocal tutelage of Ms Khor Ai Ming. With the Vocal Associates, she has performed at the Chingay Parade 2013, as well as several concerts at the Esplanade Recital Studio and the Arts House Chamber.
Azura is currently studying voice under Ms Khor Ai Ming.
