Singaporean mezzo-soprano Anna Koor, known for her rich, mellow, timbre, made her operatic debut with the Singapore Lyric Opera in its 2009 production of Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann as Giuletta. She sang the role of the 3rd lady in the company's production of Mozart's The Magic Flute in 2010, and took the role of the Page in Richard Strauss' Salome in 2011. She has also appeared as a soloist in many SLO concerts and gala events, including Opera in the Park, SLO 20th Anniversary Concert, An Evening of Romantic & Tragic Love, and Opera on the Silver Screen.
Anna is also an established performer on the concert platform and is frequently invited to sing in concerts with various orchestras all over the Asia-Pacific region. An experienced recitalist, her song recitals with pianist Shane Thio over the past few years have been met with great success. She is also in high demand as a clinician at music symposiums, and has presented workshops and master classes in East & West Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Australia and New Zealand.
