ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA

The SLO Orchestra comprises professionally trained, seasoned musicians as well as music students. Ample opportunities are available for musicians to perform challenging operatic repertoire and also to work with distinguished and up and coming young conductors like Singapore-born Darrell Ang and Joshua Tan Kang Ming.

The SLO Orchestra made its opera debut in March 2009 at the production of Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann. Other recent appearances include Puccini Gala in November 2009, Opera in the Park in June 2009 and the opera productions of Puccini’s La Bohème in January 2010 and Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in July 2010.
